July 4 - 17, 2024  

U.S. Food Fair at AEON 2024 During the weekends of July 6&7 and July 13&14, 2024, ATO Hong Kong organized four chef demonstrations at AEON supermarkets. These demonstrations were part of the in-store promotion for U.S. Food Fair at AEON from July 4-17. The chef team showcased a variety of U.S. quality ingredients such as beef, seafood, fresh fruit, and meat products. U.S. cooperators, including Alaska Seafood, USA Rice, U.S. Pork, U.S. Beef, and U.S. Meat Export Federation, participated in this promotion with their brand and products being highlighted during the promotion period.

June 28 - July 25, 2024  

U.S. Festival - Taste of USA From June 28 to July 25, 2024, ATO Hong Kong partnered with Dairy Farm Retail Group (DFI) to conduct the ‘U.S. Festival -Taste of USA’ retail promotion. A total of 280 food retail outlets including ThreeSixty, Market Place, Oliver’s, Wellcome Fresh, Wellcome and their online shops in Hong Kong, as well as 26 San Miu supermarkets in Macau, participated in this promotion. 45 different U.S. quality food products were highlighted during the promotion, with an emphasis on seasonal fresh fruit, frozen meat, seafood, dairy products. Northwest Cherry Growers also launched the fresh cherry promotion at selected DFI stores simultaneously, drawing further attention to the U.S. Festival.

June 25 - July 8, 2024  

USA Food Fair at YATA 2024 From June 25 to July 8, 2024, ATO Hong Kong launched the ‘USA Food Fair’ promotion at seven YATA supermarkets in Hong Kong. Throughout this in store promotion, a spotlight was placed on quality and seasonal U.S. food items, along with the showcase of new products. ATO Hong Kong also hosted a chef demonstration over the weekend of June 29 and 30, drawing in a large crowd of customers eager to taste and learn about a variety of U.S. food ingredients, including beef, seafood, pork and fresh fruit. Known for the food safety standards and high quality, U.S. food products continue to hold a strong reputation in Hong Kong, with premium items being particularly popular among local consumers.

June 13 - July 3, 2024  

U.S. Foodie Vibes at city'super ATO Hong Kong organized two cooking demonstrations at City' Super stores on June 29 and June 30 as part of the ‘U.S. Foodie Vibes’ summer promotion, which took place from June 13 to July 3, 2024. City' Super featured a wide range of U.S. products with over 800 SKU available at their 5 stores and e-shop in Hong Kong. The Organic Trade Association participated in the promotion, with U.S. organic products highlighted throughout the event. The professional chef demonstration showcased the U.S. beef, lobster, and salmon, were well-received by upscale retail customers seeking to experiment with new dishes using premium U.S. food ingredients.

May 28-30, 2024  

Vinexpo Asia Vinexpo Asia, the flagship international wine and spirits trade exhibition in Asia, took place from May 28 to 30, 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC), a prime venue for business meetings and trade conversations. Sixteen U.S. exhibitors participated this year, including wine industry representatives from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Washington State, and Oregon. The area also included a tasting corner showcasing twenty U.S. wines.

U.S. Food and Beverage Showcase 2024 Organized by ATO Hong Kong, the Fourth U.S. Food and Beverage Showcase was held on April 17, 2024 at the Murray Hotel in Hong Kong. A wide range of U.S. food & beverage products were highlighted at the event. ATO invited more than 120 professionals from the industry, including retail traders, importers, distributors, hotel and restaurant managers, chefs, and industry influencers. Attendees had the opportunity to network and discover the quality and diversity of U.S. food & beverage offerings.

Renaissance of American Spirits Mixology Event Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) Hong Kong, in partnership with the United States Distilled Spirits Council (DISCUS) held a marketing event to promote U.S. distilled spirits called “The Renaissance of U.S. Spirits Mixology Event” on November 27.  Around 30 industry professionals, a combination of top local bartenders, restaurant and bar managers, beverage directors, and industry influencers attended the event and enjoyed live mixing demonstrations of six cocktail recipes designed by two top mixologists in town using U.S. distilled spirits.

The Great America Texas BBQ After a three-year pause, ATO Hong Kong, USMEF and Texas Beef Council co-hosted the much-anticipated industry event - The Great American Texas BBQ on November 21. The event presenting high-quality U.S. beef and an extensive array of U.S. foods and beverages attracted over 800 professionals, including chefs, buyers and importers in Hong Kong. As global competition is keen in sophisticated markets like Hong Kong, high-profile promotional events are necessary to reinforce the premium image of U.S. products in terms of taste profile, sustainable practice and food security, to maintain and expand market share.

Delicious USA 2023 The annual gourmet festival of U.S. food, celebrated a five-year milestone as it continued to expand its footprint across Hong Kong and Macau in 2023. This year’s Delicious USA festival welcomed a spectacular lineup of 45 establishments in Hong Kong and Macau to promote special dishes in the month of November. Talented chefs at participating restaurants featured U.S. food ingredients in local and international gastronomy ranging from Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Mexican to Nordic-French, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, and more. Participating chefs presented one or more dishes featuring their choices of premium U.S. ingredients.

September 6 - 8, 2023  

Asia Fruit Logistica From September 6-8, ATO Hong Kong hosted a USA pavilion at Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong. The pavilion housed twenty exhibitors, highlighting climate-smart innovations and quality fresh produce from sustainable farming. The United States was the fourth largest supplier of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and tree nuts to Hong Kong in 2022 with sales of US$359 million.
